Sycamore Community Church, a congregation of the Reformed Church in America located in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, is seeking a full-time pastor to begin in January 2027. Formed in 2024 through the merger of two historic RCA congregations, Sycamore Community Church is a welcoming community. We are rooted in the Reformed tradition and deeply connected to the Ho-Ho-Kus and Ridgewood communities we call home — communities defined by strong families, active neighborhoods, and a genuine hunger for meaningful faith. We worship together each Sunday, committed to connecting the gospel to everyday life. We are prayerfully seeking a pastor who brings energy and vision to our next chapter of ministry. Our next pastor will: Preach biblically grounded, Spirit-led sermons rooted in the Reformed tradition and relevant to daily life Provide genuine pastoral care — present with people in both the ordinary and the hard moments Actively engage with our congregation and the broader Ho-Ho-Kus and Ridgewood community, building relationships with families, neighbors, and newcomers Help guide and build upon our Mission Committee Plan, which focuses on community outreach and a growing youthful congregation. Lead with humility, integrity, and a clear sense of calling We value a leader who loves God deeply, cares for people with authenticity and compassion, and is eager to foster spiritual growth and a strong sense of community in a congregation still writing its story together.
