Are you a dedicated pastor looking to make a difference by leading a congregation in spiritual growth and community outreach? Delaware Reformed Church is seeking a pastor to lead our congregation, who is theologically sound, biblically knowledgeable, prayerful and who is spiritually aligned with the Alliance of Reformed Churches or the CRC. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to advancing our mission of “Being Disciples…Making Disciples.”

Delaware Reformed Church is a welcoming, faithful, multi-generational church that values fellowship among its members. We are located in Southeast South Dakota, about 5 miles South of Lennox, SD or about 30 miles Southwest of Sioux Falls. Named for the township in which it is located, DRC is a rural church, serving multiple surrounding communities. It was founded in 1889 and is a part of the Alliance of Reformed Churches.
Primary responsibilities include:
Preaching/Worship
• Prepare and deliver weekly sermons that are biblically sound, relevant, and inspirational.
• The pastor will lead worship on Sunday’s and other services such as Good Friday, Thanksgiving, etc.
• Ability to lead, inspire, and equip teams, volunteers, and staff members
Spiritual Leadership
• Pastoral care and direction will be provided to the congregation. This means offering guidance for congregants seeking baptism, profession of faith, pre-marital counseling, and providing hope and encouragement to those in need.
Teaching/Education
• Pastor who is engaged in the education of adults, youth and children ministries. Oversee Bible studies, educational programs and other teaching opportunities
Pastoral Care
• Caring and Visitation – Provide spiritual guidance counseling and support to members of the congregation and the community during times of need and in times of joy.
• Building Relationships – The pastor will seek to be involved in the families of the congregation through building connections with them both inside and outside of the church.
• Act as a liaison between the church and the local community, building relationships with local organizations, schools, and other churches.

Qualifications and Skills:
o Spiritual Maturity - Strong relationship with God, evidenced by a life of prayer, integrity, humility, compassion, and a deep commitment to biblical truth.
o Feels called by God to lead our congregation
o Strong and Effective Communication Skills, both verbal and written.
o Leadership and Organizational Skills
o Proficiency with technology and general computer skills

The Pastor will be accountable to elders of Delaware Reformed Church and the Alliance of Reformed Churches.
