It is our goal to share through the preaching and teaching of God's Word the marvelous gift of salvation through Jesus Christ to all believers. Being inspired by that Word we desire that we personally grow in our faith and that by our actions, through caring, personal contact, worship, fellowship and service, inspire others to also find the Lord. Immanuel Reformed Church (IRC) is located in rural Wright County, Iowa, approximately 3 miles East of Belmond. The updated parsonage, including study, is on site and was constructed in 1989. The church recently separated with grace from The Reformed Church in America and has joined the Alliance of Reformed Churches (ARC). Our beloved Pastor of 16 years recently retired, and we are seeking a full-time Ordained Pastor to lead our church family. A Pastor at Immanuel Reformed Church leads weekly Sunday morning services and adult Bible Study and visits shut-ins regularly. He or she will also respond to and care for the personal needs of those in our communities and actively participate in the Belmond Ministerial Association. We are looking for a Senior Pastor that has strengths in Biblical Preaching and Anointed Teaching. We desire an atmosphere of operating in the Holy Spirit, which is not just taught and preached, but EXPERIENCED. Gifts in spiritual leadership are also strongly desired as our church family is seeking to be discipled and equipped. One of our strongest assets is our youth and the youth programs we offer. We recently hired a youth shepherd on staff, however, it would be beneficial to have a senior pastor that has a heart for the youth and young families. We have a few small groups that have formed; although, we are in need of someone to guide this area of our growth. Specifically, small groups that include teaching on journaling, exhibiting how accountability and vulnerability is safe to take place, and understanding the basic design of how a covenant relationship works.

• A safe place where the family of God comes to pursue and participate in His holiness. Not a place to consume a message and then call it good for the rest of the week.

• Corporate and individual surrender to God.

• Covenant relationship is taught and used by our family of God.

Our expectation is that God is going to show up and life changing things will happen all the time. To have the Holy Spirit not moving in our meeting is a rare exception to the rule.

Job Overview

The worship leader will work closely with the Lead Pastor in cultivating worship services and worship teams that lead our congregation in a blended multi-generational experience that helps the worshiper to see and experience the greatness of God in Jesus Christ, in the power of the Spirit. To learn, grow and show others the gospel found in Jesus. With the right gift mix this person could also focus the church’s online presence, managing social media accounts, update website information, and managing the worship experience for streaming and recorded worship services. (This added mix extends the hours and leans more full-time.) This position offers flexibility to be full-time or part-time. This person will be responsible to build, guide, coach, and manage the worship team; paid and volunteer, positions, musicians and vocalists. Lead rehearsal accomplishing at least these two things: cultivate community, among worship team volunteers and prepare the team to help facilitate God honoring worship. Seek out congregants who are passionate about worship, recruit and train musicians, singers, and tech volunteers. Oversee, manage, and maintain musical, audio, and visual equipment owned by Haven Church in conjunction with the technical volunteers. Attend regular staff meetings. Oversee and manage a worship budget. Lead quarterly Worship Ministry Team Meeting. Above all this person must display a commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of your life and a knowledge of His Word, and have a heart for singing the Gospel, loving the local church, and proclaiming the name of Jesus. Also, must be a musically gifted guitarist and/or pianist, and vocalist, have an appreciation for more current music, biblically centered lyrics, and hymns of the church’s traditions. A working knowledge of Media Shout or similar presentation software, band backing programs and other computer based worship centered software is helpful, but can be learned on the job. A degree in music, worship arts, or theology is a plus, but not a requirement.
