God's Children Are Not for Sale...why we should encourage everyone to see The Sound of Freedom

This prophetic pronouncement by Jim Caviezel playing Tim Ballard in this true account of rescuing enslaved children brought the packed-out matinee crowd to tears as we sat in the dark processing that “God’s children are not for sale”.

Angel Studios described it, “Sound of Freedom is a powerful film based on a true story. It depicts the remarkable journey of Tim Ballard, a former Homeland Security agent, as he battles against human trafficking. His relentless pursuit of justice exposes the dark underbelly of this global crime, leaving an indelible impact on the fight for freedom”.

Compelling reasons to see

There are more children enslaved in sex trafficking today than in all of history combined. The United States is the largest consumer of sex trafficked children and Mexico the largest supplier. This makes the border crisis with unhindered mass migration complicit in the sex trafficking industry.

The love of Christ calls us to rescue and restore these children now. I think because it is such a beautifully produced, well scripted and acted movie for people of faith. The reality that it is so deeply painful to watch is mobilizing a vast army, spiritually endowed to slay these demons once and for all. 

Sex trafficking is a complex multifaceted global and expending industry that necessitates a unified informed multifaceted solution. The studio, producers, actors and Tim Ballard’s Operation Underground Railroad are hoping to encourage people of faith to rise up against this atrocity and largely eradicate it much as we broke the back of the abortion industry in overturning Roe v. Wade.

Personally, I believe it can be a tipping point to help restore decency and morality after the Hollywood sex scandals, Jeffry Epstein and the revealing of powerful people’s involvement in sex trafficking, the social fad of transgenderism, public debauched sexual displays, schools grooming children to become sexual pawns, and destroying the innocence, purity, hearts and souls of generations of little ones. No more... we will not be silent and passively allow govts, businesses, drug cartels ......and the massive influx of illegal immigrants, international cabals continue this slavery.

It is another blow to vacuous, immoral and simply bad Hollywood movies. Artful, excellent, faith building inspiring movies and true stories should be and are being funded and supported by individuals. This is dumbfounding many and creating an undeniable witness to Godliness and morality.

Many including me, knew of and grieved over this atrocity. But witnessing the true account brings a Godly sorrow and conviction. What can millions of Christians seeing this movie do to change the situation?  

Become an advocate-activists for these children where you are and where you can. Many NGOs and ministries are already engaged in rescue. When Jim Caviezel was asked why he choose to do this role, he responded that he was simply using his gift to inspire people to find moral redemption in stories.  He stated, “When there is evil, real evil in the world, and when love is in your heart, boy, evil is just a coward to God.”

Prepare and become involved in trauma care and counseling to restore those recued. Whenever possible return them to country of origin and family. If no longer possible, place in good homes with ongoing love and support. Bring your family, small group, church and friends to view the Sound of Freedom with you. Have prayer times or church discussion to inform the congregation about this insidious network.
